What's the difference between spanish culture as opposed to mexican culture,if there is one?
Spanish culture is the culture of Spain (Europe).Mexican culture is the culture of Mexico (America). So the main difference is that they are two different countries in two different continents, with the Atlantic Ocean between them.Spain conquered Mexico in 1521 and for almost 300 years the Spaniards ruled in the country. During this time, Mexico was a Spanish colony and many aspects of the Spanish culture were adopted, like the language, the religion, and others , but always with a special Mexican touch. In 1821, Mexico finally gained his independence from Spain. Since then, this country has continued his development with all the inheritance from the ancient Mexicans combined with everything the country inherited from the Spanish conquerors. So, I beg your pardon, but to ask if there is a difference between Spanish culture and Mexican culture is as absurd as to ask if there is a difference between the culture of England and the culture of the USA, or even more. 4 years ago 2 people rated this as good I'm wondering whether whatever differences between the 2 are of degree or kind. Yes,American culture is one of Britians' children, but I still see ourselves as very different from one another.
