They don't really have 'beliefs' in the way you might mean it. A metrosexual is a little more supposedly superficial (although truthfully they are probably about equal) like he's into looking clean and flashy. The hipster is supposedly more into cultural stuff, as you say, like indie movies and indie bands, and also dresses in an evolution of the old grunge movement – so a little more blue collar and rugged, just ironically so. but…basically they're both pretty lame and lacking depth if they take the style to mean more than just that. A style. 8 months ago 3 people rated this as good .

Paleolithic normally refers to the period when people were nomadic hunter-gatherers, and neolithic to the period when they became settled farmers. This occured at different times in different places, and the paleolithic era went on longer in some regions than in othes.Settled farming communities seem to have first developed in the near east in around 10000 BC.A big difference would be that farming is, on the whole, a much harder way to get food than hunter-gathering is. It's much harder work to cultivate the land, grow crops etc, than it is to hunt and forage for food. Settled farmers work harder and, on the whole (judging by examinations of human remains) neolothic people were less healthy than paleolithic people. They work longer hours and have less leisure time than paleolithic people. Their diet rich in cereals led to more tooth decay. However, living in a settled ocmmunity gives opportunities for people tob build, to develop crafts, and to be creative. Crafts like metalwork, weaving, pottery, writing etc, develop and flourish in settled communities, there is less opportunity to develop those skills in nomadic societies.

Lol, well, some parts of England have a culture…like a set culture. Wheras Americans have all and no cultures at once!Englands culture (all The British Isles) is mostly drink til you drop! Americans don't do that so much. Britain has quite a large youb culture too with a lot of white trash taking over. And a lot of football hooligans.I find Americans to be friendlier and certainly more open than English. English really do have a "We're better that you, and we're laugh at you" attitude, mostly in the small villages. I've experienced it first hand. Smarmy and sarcastic. Obviously there are loads of sound English people aswell!! (eg. Black Sabbath) I'm just talking about the "village people"! lol.London dosn't have that sort of thing though, its very multicultural. You find all sorts there!!Americans I think are more fun generally.Ok, yeah, I do tend to favour the American side just a little because English are such b'stards in history generally! And what they did to Ireland (I happen to be Irish) But Americans you are too trusting! Don't you see you are brainwashed by your government! I think Americans are better looking mostly and I like many of the accents (New York, oh yeah!)….But I don't like the fact that Native Americans have no place in their own country to have their own culture.Theres my opinions anyway,Good luck! 4 years ago thanx

Hello, and good on you for wanting to experience a different culture and country. I've been in NZ off and on and back and forth from the USA since 1985, so I have a good basis to offer the differences between the two. NZ teaches entitlement thinking in school, instead of gratitude thinking, which is a big difference. Students seem to have very little in the way of confidence, however that may just be a difference between the two countries, Americans are taught to be quite confident. They spend a lot of time and effort teaching Maori stuff, which is an extinct people and a dead language, instead of spending time teaching math and history. NZ has gone very PC in school, you know the line "you haven't failed your test you just have delayed success". Be sure to lock things up, NZ has a robbery rate 10 times that of NY City!! Clean and green maybe, safe, no way! Culture is very socialist (verging on fascism) and recent laws have eroded any free speech, free press or free expression. Next year they are even going away from jury trials. So in that regard NZ has very little in the way of freedoms that most US citizens take for granted. Medical care is quite lacking, even though it is relatively free for NZ'ers, it does not give you a warm and fuzzy feeling when you have to use it. Best to get you own health insurance. 3 years ago thank you so much! that was very different from what people have told me. thanks for that reality check!
